Karnataka Voter Deletions: How Rahul Gandhi’s Flag Raised Local Alert

Bengaluru. Complaints of large-scale missing names from the voter list have surfaced in Karnataka. Congress MP Rahul Gandhi raised the issue, calling it a mockery of democracy.

The matter came to light when a booth-level officer (BLO) noticed discrepancies while checking the list. Local Congress leaders also went from village to village collecting complaints. Many families reported that they had been voting for years, but this time their names were missing from the list.

Rahul Gandhi said, “If the names of genuine voters are removed, the credibility of the election will be questioned.”

This revelation has increased pressure on the Election Commission. The opposition called it a well-planned conspiracy, while the ruling party said it was a technical error. The Commission has promised to investigate the matter.

Anger is evident among voters in rural areas. One elderly voter said, “I have never missed a vote in my life, but now my name is missing.”

This controversy is no longer limited to Karnataka, but has become a topic of discussion at the national level.
