The need for dialogue in public discourse

New Delhi. In today’s times, debates are more heated and divided than ever before. From TV debates to social media, conflict of ideas is visible everywhere, but there is a lack of communication.

The strength of democracy lies in its diversity—and maintaining this diversity requires respecting dissent.
Conflict of ideas may be healthy, but bitterness weakens democracy.

Accountability and transparency will come only when discussions are held openly, but with dignity.
We should remember that ideas may be different, but the country is one for all.
